Wow. Just Wow. Still don't think my nerves have recovered.
If someone had said, before the game on Sunday that Liverpool would have won the title and be champions again i would have laughed in your face and asked you for a pint of whatever you had been drinking!

Liverpool - Birmingham - it too was my understanding that a whistle is not needed to be blown, but an indication given to start play. If no indication was given he should have immediately ruled out the goal - but he allowed it to stand, and then afterwards said he had made a mistake, why not deal with it there and then?! The argument will rage on for a while yet, should have been replayed, whistle should have been blown, etc etc but i totally agree with the poster above, it was totally in Chelsea's hands and the pressure got to them. Never expected them to drop points at Notts, not loose to City - but watching the BT sport coverage - City were so much more up for it and pushing forward more. Chelsea knew a win would seal them the title - but they didn't play like that was the case until the last 15 mins or so, by which point it was too late.
Birmingham threw everything they could at Carly Telford but she made some awesome saves to keep them out! The Liverpool girls defo owe her a few drinks!
Happy to have won - but feel a lot of it was luck. We haven't played aswell as last season, scored nowhere near as many goals as last season and have been lucky with the way some decisions have gone.

Sad to see them go down - but not surprised. Been a disappointing season for them.

I see Rachael Laws has been put on stand by. Would love to see her get a full call up even if she didn't play, she deserves it.

Couldn't agree more Steve. She was awesome for us at Liverpool. Was sad to see her go back to Sunderland!

My mum always used to tell me don't eat the pips otherwise you will end up with an apple tree growing in your belly! Remember my younger brother having a screaming fit when he was about 6 because he had accidentally swallowed a pip and was terrified a tree was going to start growing. He kept saying we needed to go to hospital and get his belly opened and get the pip out!

Women's Football / Re: FAWSL YouTube Channel?

I've only had a very quick look, but all i could seem to find was either FAWSL 1 or Conti Cup matches. Do they upload any FAWSL 2 games? I'll have a proper look later.

There's still other outlets to watch highlights tbf, most clubs video their games now and have their own YouTube channels, i was just surprised the FA have given up on this already and wonder why. Why can't women's football have their own dedicated YouTube channel?

Liverpool ladies have their own highlights / previews type show on LFC TV - free to anyone with a sky box.

But when was the last time the North East had a full England international anyway? Ever?
People pissing and moaning about location because we get an England game once every time Halley's Comet passes the earth  ??? We're one of the most excluded areas in the country for everything.

I think the people doing that need some real perspective. Or as we say in this small corner of England - "Give ya heeds a shake".

Kinda have to agree with Steve here. We live near Liverpool, little town called Southport, and commute to away games like birmingham, notts and manchester. Been as far north as Sunderland and Durham, taking approx 2 and a half hours - so noth east for an international is a welcome change for us. Cardiff is a no go as it will take approx 4 hours one way, and this is the main factor in why we have never been to an england international yet, with the exception of shrewsbury (which i was stuck working and couldnt get time off), games in the likes of brighton and watford are just too far for us to make the drive there and back in a day. And ok it wouldnt be so much for the two of us to share a premier inn / holiday express room - but then that involves two days off work, sorting out a sitter for the animals etc.
I think it makes sense to move the locations around - so that people from all locationsget the chance to go!

It's ok Steve - i know how you feel. I'll be watching Liverpool against Donny Belles that i don't think is going to have any impact!

Liverpool have a very decent chance, especially with their superior goal difference (you're welcome  :D). A win with a few more goals might be enough you never know.

At half time we were dreaming of 6-0 / 7-1 victories - but the reality was we were very lucky to hang on to all three points! Donna played a blinding second half - Liverpool just seemed to ease back and switch off a little bit!

All comes down to results today now!

Am i just being blonde - but how can you fail to realise one of your players is cup tied?
Surely the player herself would have known.
My understanding is no...
Aliens? The government? It's all a conspiracy i tells tha  ;)

P.S. Can our game v Everton be cancelled this week so we don't risk losing any players through injury for the second half of our promotion push  :D

Reserve team can play  ;) as long as players are registered

Is that no i am not being blonde - or no the player would not have known she was cup tied?
