Very interesting blog from Lisa-Marie Woods. Wonder who/which team she is referring to. Sounds like it could be possibly a Norwegian one: http://woods.blogg.no/1389263177_sexual_harassment_in_.html

Kolbotn has announced on their website that 5 players have been taken into a national team gathering (not sure the total number of players), some routine players, some surprises.

The players are Nora Gjoen, Ingvild Isaksen, Andrea Gran Berild, Anja Sonstevald and Andrine Tomter.

Did anyone catch the second half? I only watched up until Isaksen missed the PK, but Norway looked like they were starting to dominate to that point. Just saw that it was 3-1 for Switzerland and was surprised based on what I saw in the second half. Any observations from those that watched?

I was surprised with her comeback, but she has done well.

Why isn't Ada Hegerberg in the squad to China? Strange considering her performance in 2012?

Thorsnes has reportedly signed for Stabaek. Was there an article on Kristy Moore's retirement? I thought I read that she had somewhere.

Its Mariah Noguiera from Stanford that plays for Pali, not Casey Noguiera- Casey Nogueira featured this year for both FC Dallas in WPSL and the New York Fury in WPSL Elite.

Great game for Pali and Ottawa and fans of women's soccer. Woods and Kaurin playing well.

Why was Liane and Vikestad missing from the line-up? Will Stavne come back to play for Kolbotn upon her return from her "trip round the world"

Sounds like, via the social media circuit, that Andrine Hegerberg has hurt her meniscus.

"Interesting. Well spotted. I heard some rumours about two players, but no names. Oh, it's Hólmfríður Magnúsdóttir. Which translates inyo the English alphabet as Holmfridur Magnusdottir. The ð is like the th in "them". It will be interesting to see what the two can contribute. Katrin seems to be a defender and Holmfridur an attacking midfielder. Sounds like they are designed replacements for Aasgård and Giske."

From what I remember about them as players, I believe that in Philadelphia, Holmfridur was used as an outside back (perhaps for attacking qualities??), and Katrin is more of an offensive player (at least I remember her playing in the midfield for Cal Berkeley, and scoring a goal against the US in the final of the Algarve, a year or two ago). Both quality players, and should definitely strengthen Arna and hopefully make it a more interesting race, than the two pony affair of Roa and Stabaek-
