My best moment - Emma
 Women's Football News 25 Sep 2009
Emma Plewa described her first international goal as "the best moment of my career" following Wales' stunning 2-0 victory over Czech Republic at Llanelli.
The 19-year-old scored the second goal and she told Women's Soccer Scene after the game: "It was a great result. We were unlucky not to get a win against Belgium but I think there is a good atmosphere now in the team. We kept our chins up and got on with the game and we got a result for it."
Emma revealed that the team had worked hard to improve their performance from the Belgium game. "We were struggling to get a goal and going forward," she said. "But we had a look at where we had gone wrong and how to understand our jobs more and tonight we put it into practice."
The clinching goal came with six minutes remaining and Emma admitted that things happened rather quickly. "I just remember knocking it past the keeper and taking it around her - nothing else really, it was all a bit of a blur," she said.
Wales face the Czechs again in their next World Cup qualifier and, after a physical battle, Emma says that her team are ready for a battle. "It will be even more physical because it's their home turf so they'll come out all guns blazing and looking for the points, but there is no reason why we can't do it again over there."
Jessica Fishlock was credited with the first goal and she added: "I've always thought that we had the squad to perform and get a result like this one and finally it all came together. We had a little bit of luck along the way but we thoroughly deserved the win and it was a fantastic result and performance.
"The big difference is that we were a lot more organised and knew exactly what we were doing and, most importantly, we kept the ball when we won it and made good transitions from defence to attack. When you defend and win it, and then keep it and go forward, the game is a lot easier - you don't do so much running and get tired and you're in control and that made a huge difference from Sunday.
"The back four were absolutely solid, they were a bit nervous on Sunday but I thought Lauren Townsend was fantastic against the Czechs. Vinny (Emma Jones) and Nicola Cousins were excellent and Sally Wade, who is a bit of an unorthodox right back, did a great job so I take my hat off to the four of them.
"I am going to claim the first goal - a 30-yard belter! To be honest, from those areas, I don't really aim for a person but for an area and put a couple there before. I think the goalkeeper came out too far and couldn't quite get back - she carried it over the line but everyone is saying it was my goal and I am going to get it!"
