Title: Female quartet called up
Post by: David on January 29, 2007, 03:34:15 PM
It's not only Charlton's men that will be heading to Spain next month; four members of the Addicks' women's squad are set for England action in La Manga.

Natasha Dowie, (pictured) Michelle Hickmott, Katie Holtham and Josanne Potter have all been called up by the England U21 set-up for a three-team competition.

The women's U23 tournament will see England take on Norway on February 14th and Brent Hills' squad face France two days later.

It's good news for Potter in particular, the winger having only recently returned from a long-term ankle problem, firing two goals in her first two games back.

And as well as the talented foursome, Kimberley Dixson has been placed on standby.

There will also be Addicks representation in an England U19 and U17 training camp at Derby.

Young striker Ashlee Hincks has made the grade for the U19s and will join Mo Marley's sizeable party between February 11-15th.

Well done Amy Kane too then :)

The first thing I did when I posted this story was go and look for the full squads assuming they had been announced somewhere....but I couldn't find anything anywhere !
