Please vote. Polling closes on the 28th Feb.

Germany are the 'best', so they have my vote.

Did one of you hit the wrong button? At the time of this post, there is only 1 vote for Germany?

I have gone for the USA

I definitely pressed the right button. I hope we don't need an electoral scrutiniser to oversee things.  :o

Very tight polling, and only one day remaining.  ;) Will there be any last minute stampede?

It's being pointed out that England are missing Steph Houghton but the USA and France are also missing comparable veteran centre backs : Becky Sauerbrunn and Wendie Renard respectively.

England is also missing Jordan Nobbs.  I know I'm late to vote, but someone has to cast a vote for England so that's my vote :).

You don't have to live up to your user name.... :)-  and its not compulsory to vote for England- only vote if you honestly believe they will win the tournament bu beating all or most of the other countries.......

Welcome to the site- hope you stick around for a long while...... :)

So, following last night's draw against Germany, do we just need a draw against USA (I say just - Not like that's an easy thing!!!) to WIN the tournament?

England and USA are both on 4 points, but we have a +3 GD and USA have a +1. A draw would mean them finishing on 5 points with the GD staying the same
France and Germany are both on 1 point, so they cannot now top the table

Thank you for the welcome, Cabbages, which is much appreciated. Need I say that I don't look quite so bananas as my username suggests?  ;)

March 1 , 2018,   England  4  - 1  France

[ 1 ]   Some inStat data via tweets by Chris Henderson :

-  Interestingly, France ended up on top of a lot of categories but their breakdowns were catastrophic.
Possession - 52-48, FRA
Passes - 396 (80%)- 393 (81%), FRA
Key Passes - 11-5, ENG
Challenges Won - 54-46%, FRA
Air Challenges Won - 52-48%, ENG
Successful Dribbles - 70-57%, FRA

- Successful Tackles - 68-61%, FRA

- inStat WOTM for England-France is Fran Kirby (by a BIG distance)
1 goal, 1 assist
77% total actions successful
76% passes complete
1 key pass
56% challenges won
60% dribbles successful
67% tackles won
6 ball recoveries
1 foul won

- inStat Top Rated Players for England-France
1. Fran Kirby
2. Lucy Bronze
3. Abbie McManus
4. Jill Scott
5. Jodie Taylor
England had top eight rated players.
Top rated French player was Eve Perisset.

- inStat Bottom Rated Players for England France (minimum 30 minutes played)
1. Faustine Robert
2. Karima Benameur
3. Kadidiatou Diani

- Abbie McManus was successful with 90% of her actions and completed 88% of her passes. Not bad.

- How bad were France's tactics/execution? They attempted seventeen crosses.
And completed one of them. One!

- Because I want to say something nice about France, Eve Perisset had a solid game:
86% actions successful
83% passes complete
1 key pass
75% challenges won
86% tackles won
15 ball recoveries

[ 2 ]  Despite her good final stats, Eve  Perisset was not in good position to intercept or to block Toni Duggan's goal ( the match opener ). I doubt she was  aware that Duggan was even there.
