Cerco notizie sul calcio femminile
« on: December 03, 2016, 09:31:26 AM »
Ciao,
Grazie
Eugenio

Hello,
I am a football fan and in recent years than the female. I think that women are far more fair than men when they play football within the rules and opponents.
I would compare my knowledge and my news with anyone in the world follow the women's game.
Thank you
Eugenio

Welcome Eugenio. I agree about the fair play – in the '90s I grew up watching men's football. It's become quite different nowadays, with so much diving and whining  :) But women's football is still (mostly) played in a good spirit, so it seems.

Ciao Eugenio

:D Thank you for the welcome, and I would like to ask you what level is women's football in New Zealand?
I followed in the Swedish league a player of your country, Anna Green, who played in Mallbacken and unfortunately relegated. Who knows if it will remain in Sweden.
Ciao Eugenio

Don't forget Ali Riley! http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/football/nz-teams/86593050/football-fern-ali-rileys-swedish-team-makes-european-champions-league-quarterfinals

The level here is OK, but take a look for yourself - this is what a national league game looks like (with the eventual champions of 2016, Canterbury)

Probably comparable to second/third division in a European country, and a bit behind the better-funded Australian competition (the W-League).

The national New Zealand team, the 'Football Ferns', usually achieves better than expected, but the team lost some government funding last year and this year. So, I don't expect any World Cup wins soon.

Ciao!
