England age Bracket next year
« on: March 01, 2016, 10:18:50 AM »
With the change in the age banding for all the new talent clubs next year has anyone heard if this will be the case for the England set ups as well ?
There must be some current under 13, 15 and 17 players who have been overlooked due to struggling to make an impression as they are playing girls two school years above but who now might stand out a bit more once in the correct age bracket.

I have heard a couple of teams have had a few younger September to December girls in their line ups so it will be interesting to see if the FA have considered this and plan a new scouting mission or is the England set up a closed door ?

I think the England set up are made to be aligned with the UEFA competitions U17 and U19  Euros as well the U16 Development tournaments.  And also the FIFA ones U17 and  U20 World Cup.

What  are the age brackets? Are they based on calendar year or academic year? When would my daughter (2005 birth) be eligible?
