D1 feminine 2015-16
« on: September 04, 2015, 09:03:06 AM »
The season started last week and the favourite will be OL looking to win a 10th consecutive title.
PSG did not recruit until late due to a budget being reduced while Montpellier and Juvisy made a lot of good signings.

Head to head results is the tie breaker so all the games between the big four teams will be decisive as usual.

The bottom three teams will be relegated as usual which means 25% of the 12 teams are relegated.
The biggest reform launched by the FFF will happen at the end of the season in Division 2.
There are currently 3 groups of 12 teams and the FFF will reduce it to two groups of 12.
As a result 6 teams per group will be relegated and 1 will be promoted as usual.

The table after matchday 2 looks familiar

1. Lyon 8 pts
2. Montpellier 8 pts
------------------------
3. PSG 8 pts
4. Albi 8 pts
5. Juvisy 6 pts
6. Soyaux 5 pts
7. Rodez 5 pts
8. St Etienne 3 pts
9. Guingamp 2 pts
-------------------------
10. La Roche sur Yon 2 pts
11. St Maur 2 pts
12. Nimes 2 pts

Note : head to head is the decider in case of teams level on points, not the overall goal difference.
4 pts = win 2 pts = draw 1 pt = defeat 0 pt = game forfeited

Matchday 3  : PSG v Montpellier, the loser will be nearly out of the title race  :o

At the winter break, the table is a bit more interesting than in the previous seasons :

1. Lyon 50 pts
2. Montpellier 48 pts
-------------------------
3. PSG 47 pts
4. Juvisy 41 pts
5. Albi 29 pts
6. Rodez 29 pts
7. Soyaux 28 pts
8. St-Etienne 28 pts
9. Guingamp 23 pts
--------------------------
10. La Roche-Sur-Yon 23 pts
11. St Maur 18 pts
12. Nimes 15 pts

Basically head to head games between the top teams will decide the champion and runner-up places that qualify for the champions league.
The coach finishing third will probably be shown the door, either because he is out of contract and not renewed or sacked for failure.
