Still no idea why you wait until five minutes left to bring in Giroud.

why would you make a substitution with 44 secs left to go before a penalty shoot-out......? ;)

The irony of them going out on pens, love it.

Just need Germany to smash the argies in the final now  :D

It was a reminder that penalties are 50% goalkeeping and the importance of the position.  The Dutch keeper looked mentally unfit and should have had two of them.  Louis van Gaal will rue burning his third sub on Huntelaar for the rest of his life.

I wonder whether it would have had the same impact anyway, against maybe better penalty takers? Tbh the 'first choice' goalie never looked like he was going to save one but van Gaal would have had to have had some balls throwing Krul on again. I think he knew that though and is why he didn't do it.

my understanding is that he had no choice as he took of RVP as he was struggling and had used all his 3 subs allocation.

Aye but i wonder if he'd had the choice, would he have done it again? We shall never know of course but it's friday and i have nothing better to wonder about  :D

I can't decide who i hate more. Isn't being bitter and twisted wonderful?  ;)

I wonder if the Iraq and Afgan fans feel the same way about England though. Do they support any team that's playing England?

Hmmm, seems like i have something else to wonder about  ???
