Belles v Bristol
« on: September 15, 2013, 07:34:16 PM »
Todays game demonstrated the roller coaster that Donny experience on a regular basis, only amplify it a thousand times. Donny 3-0 up at half time, playing exciting football with everyone doing their job and nobody out of their depth. Manager in the stand. Bristol running scared and well outplayed. An exciting team strategy to put 3 up front paid off.
Second half - Bristol change their formation and sub 2 players. Donny do nothing and a goal is quickly netted by Bristol. Still no reorganisation by Donny who now have manager on touch line. Its obvious that Donny are being over run in midfield and we need to change tactics. Hurrah! In fairly quick succession we make 3 subs, all like for like or thereabouts. However we still have 3 up front when we maybe should be defending the only decent lead we've had all season and cramming players into midfield. On top of that , 2 players who were subbed were doing a pretty good job and have been replaced by ones who are not doin' too well actually. And all the subs arrived almost at once so the team has no idea what the **** is happening.
Result: 3-4 to Bristol.
Result: Demoralised squad again - get a telling off on pitch.
Why? Can anyone spot the problem?
We deserve to get relegated but for one reason only.

Not enough money and marketing ?
Well you can certainly finish above Lincoln on final day. They have the battle of underachievers away at Chelsea.

Sorry, I have confused relegation with losing. Yes we will be relegated due to lack of money and marketing. Losing to Bristol was down to a completely reason. Apologies.

I certainly hope the Belles finish above Lincoln and claim a moral victory over the FA.
