Despite the warm weather I felt a chilly athmosphere at the final whistle today. A 1-0 defeat against newbies Man City is not the best answer to that midweek defeat to Reading.

Shelley Kerr's achievements :

won the FA Cup, won the Continental Cup

fail to win the league for the first time since 2002-03
fail to qualify for the champions for the first time since 2002-03
first defeat against a lower division team in a cup for more than 10 years
first home defeat in the league since 2009*

*at Borehamwood, defeat 4-0 last year at the Emirates
well said Sylvain, i have known Shelley for some years and i was very surprised when she got the job
at Arsenal, a club with Arsenals success over the years should have brought in a big name.

How long is she going to be left in charge? i think she is very quickly destroying what was one of the
best teams in Europe

Well done to Jane Ludlow and Reading on their victory over Arsenal, think Jane enjoyed this one, no love
lost between her Shelly.

Saw a picture of her the other day looking a lot like Moyes did at Man Utd - with a bewildered expression

Just as Ferguson knew at Man Utd, Laura Harvey knew it was time to leave arsenal.  Just as the new manager at Man U will take years to rebuild so will the new manager at arsenal Ladies.

Aye it is unfortunately. Instant success needed or on yer bike matey.

Most of the reaction i've seen has been shock/disappointment to be fair though, i've only seen a couple of negative remarks.
