Rover Chairman Sacked...

Maybe a bit late, but unofficial Rovers twitter reporting that the Rovers Ladies Chairman has been sacked. Is this correct?

Anthony Bloch,  Blackburn Rovers FC - Club Secretary has been sacked.

He also held the role (as Club Secretary's have also done in the past) of Chairman of the Women's Dept.

He was basically a line manager to the Women's Football Development Officer.  The Ladies team set-up is just another part of the club, not a different club.

The women's club has a Chairman / Treasurer / Development Officer / 1st Team Manager etc.

It doesn't really change anything, the new Club Secretary (will more than likely) takeover as Chairman when they are appointed.

Ah I see, the way the twitter was reporting it, it was listed as Rovers Ladies Chairman, didnt list his other duties. Fair enough, case solved.

Seems a bit chaotic on the men's side...

A new club secretary has already been appointed.

Ian Silvester is the new Rovers Ladies Chairman, if the same structure is to be followed.  Business as usual...

All is not well at Blackburn, everyone knows that.

It seems the women's section is just another area of the club to be hit by radical downsizing.

What brought it home to me was the recent interview in She Kicks with their latest (joint?) manager.

He claimed they'd had a great season because they beat Blackpool Wren Rovers in the County Cup!

He drew a discreet veil over their league campaign ending in dismal failure - AGAIN.

Next season could see a points deduction if the "parent club" goes into admin.

Ok Elee  all is not well everyone knows that sounds like wishful thinking to me,Tell me whats not well if you know so much
Blackburn only have one manager
Yes they won the Lancs Cup they can only beat who is put in front of them
Did very well in the two main cup comps beating quite a few sides from the division above
ok the league was disappointing  but beat city twice who went on to win the title(good luck to them)
Next season hopefully we will have a few players back from long term
injury's    Don

The one thing Venky's have done that may prove to be a positive, is clear the clubs debt.  The club is debt free, unlike alot of other clubs in Championship - Birmingham City for one.
