Watch the first half of Bristol v Arsenal. I'm left wondering how has the 25 year old Gemma Davison only got ONE cap for England...?

I thought as much.

Saw the sly grins of Harvey and Gemma when asked about the Olympic squad they were thinkin 'not while she's in charge'

What has she done to Hope?

Not sure but either she doesn't rate Gem, or there is a political agenda behind...

Still not fast enough for Hope Powell...

The fact is Gemma got a cap back in 2009 and in the interval Powell has used  Clarke, Yankey, Carney,E  White, Aluko, S Smith, R Williams and mI might have forgotten a couple other wingers as well.
She simply doesn't rate her...or she doesn't like her.

Also she got a good experience last year winning the WPS title and playing with Alex Morgan, Marta and Christine Sinclair to name a few.

I think Lucy Ward hit the nail last night when she said when Gemma is on that sort of form, she is unstoppable - Bristol had no answer to her electrifying pace and her goal was unstoppable even for the in-form Chamberlain..........

Only Powell knows why she dont select her but SHLJ is right, Gemma's experience of playing with some world class players will only have made her a better player and GB will need her when she turns the style on like that. My only inkling is that sometimes although her blistering pace leaves defenders trailinh in her wake, her final ball sometimes falls short. But hey, I'd take a risk.....wouldn't you?

In fairness to Hope, England are relatively well off for wingers: Carney, Jess Clarke etc.

Bit of a head-scratcher that Davison doesn't even make the SQUAD though.  ???
