Full time from yesterdays game - Dee Vale 3-6 Aberdeen City

Aberdeen City continued their fine run of form with a league win over Dee Vale at Inverdee. A goal up in the opening minutes, City were two down inside 15 minutes thanks to two goals from Lynn Duncan, the first a 25 yard effort and the second a header from a corner. The game was interrupted by some bizarre weather, with bright pre-match sunshine becoming a monsoon as the game began, and as temperatures dropped a painful hail shower that had the crowd (and players) lamenting the lack of cover. The conditions influenced the scoring, as City equalised with a low drive from outside the area that squirmed along the greasy turf and underneath the Vale keeper. Shortly before the interval City were ahead again, as another low effort squeezed past the Vale keeper.

Dee Vale were level for the second time in the game early in the second half when Duncan completed her hat-trick, this time bundling the ball over the line at the near post following a poorly defended corner, despite appeals from the City defence for a foul on their keeper. City had more in the tank than their opponents, however, and rattled in another three goals to run away with the game. Slack defending allowed City's 17 to poke the ball home from a few yards and the beleagured Vale keeper conceded a well hit drive at her near post as City moved out of sight. A sixth goal late on added a shine to the scoreline and ensured City kept up with Moray at the top of the division.
