CITY v Curzon
« on: September 21, 2010, 12:55:06 AM »
The local derby against Curzon was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, disappointing for us as we looked to increase our points tally, probably a positive for Curzon so they could sign more players, the standard banter between the local clubs, commenting on how many players are on their books... ::)
Top five league positions are;

              POS                    P W D L GD PTS
1  Manchester City LFC        2  2  0  0  3  6
2  Coventry City LFC            3  1  1  1  1  4
3  Newcastle United WFC     2  1  1  0  1  4
4  Leeds City Vixens LFC      3  1  1  1  0  4
5  Aston Villa LFC                1  1  0  0  2  3

The reserves lost 4-0 to Doncaster Belles

Yes, Citys new pitch is in the regional sports stadium, in the middle of the running track and is more akin to having athletes doing there thing on it, rather than football being played, the consistent downpour certainly test the draining system. If you check out the website your'll see how impressive this ground is.

Waterlogged pitch so early in the season  :o

Yes the monsoon weather hit our fixture yet again!! although our manager Leigh Westwood did a great job of compensating Notts Forest travelling up by providing free tickets to the Man City v Newcastle game next door.
We love the stadium but only when we can play in it  :o... same fixture next week.....anyone know the  weather forecast??hahaha
