well this Sunday's game looks as if it could be the first postponement which would have a domino effect on the rest - and what with other likely postponements and all the internationals - Arsenal will be playing a game a day at end of season

They'll probably extend the season, as usual.

I think that the final prem game was supposed to be played on 17th January originally, but Everton and Leeds still have 15 games left to play :o
Arsenal and Blackburn have 13 each too!
The pic is Tytti Porkka of Finland - I actually took it myself, but have lost all my pics and have no more :(

So far this season, Arsenal has had 14 games postponed/called off.
I bet no one has ever finished their season around the 17th of January  :D

Over the last 6 weeks of the season, Arsenal will be packing in 12 of their remaining games.

First up, in a breathless climax to the campaign, is a trip to Millwall tonight, at Beckenham Town FC, kick-off 7.30pm.

This is followed by a crucial trip to title rivals Everton on Sunday 11th April at Marine FC, which neither can afford to lose, in their pursuit of top spot.

Arsenal then meet Millwall for the second time in 8 days, this time at Boreham Wood FC on Thursday 15th April, before visiting in-form league leaders, Leeds Carnegie, on Sunday 18th April at their Farsley Celtic FC home.

Wednesday April 21st takes the Gunners to Northwood FC to face Watford, with Doncaster Rovers Belles away on the Sunday, then home to Nottingham Forest on Thursday April 29th.

Just 3 days after the FA Women's Cup Final against Everton at Nottingham Forest FC, they're in action again, away to Blackburn Rovers at Radcliffe Borough FC on Thursday May 6th.

A home game with Birmingham City is yet to be re-arranged but Arsenal's season is currently scheduled to end with two potentially massive games, in terms of the destination of the league championship.

Sunday May 9th brings a home game against Everton, followed by the visit of Leeds Carnegie, just 3 days later.

Only one word insane. Thinking about it 11 league hames in 7 months then 11 games in 6 weeks, plus the FA Cup final. This is simply  :o
The FA should be thankful for the Champions League defeat in the 1/4 final, otherwise Armageddon would have arrived with another 2 week-end taken away.

Why the big rush to pack in the games?  Once this season is finished they won't play again until 2011...

Super League should avoid such fixture congestion - as things stand and until all the remaining fixtures are allocated dates, I would say that Leeds have a kinder balance for their remaining games than either Arsenal or Everton, although Leeds do have a testing trio of games on the next three Sundays, but they have blank midweeks as things currently stand
