Everton are unlucky honestly, Team Strommen will be in full flow as in the right part of the Norwegian season, if they are not ready, they could go home early. Not an easy draw at all.

I don't really know much about Team Strommen but I've had a few comments to say that its not an easy draw...I'm not sure if City have it any better....

I think Cardiff may as well treat their trip to Denmark as a holiday - Brøndby should walk that group.

The main 7 team should really qualify as there should be a gulf between them and the other team.
Only Everton have a bad draw among the top team.

In group D Torres Calcio are through and because they have a low club coefficient shouldn't be seeded in the round of 32.
In group A Bayern are leading by 3 points and should go through
In group B Montpellier and Sofia have both 6 pts and will play a decisive game. The French side is ahead on goal difference and needs a draw.
Same situation in Group C with Dezembro ahead of Brondby who needs a win in their head to head game.
Idem in Group E with Linköpings ahead of Clujana both side with 6 points and in Group G were Team Strommen is in front of Everton.
Rossiyanka has 6 points in group and only need a point in their last game.

Everton through with very late goal by Michelle Hinnegan.
She got the only goal of the game at 90 + 2

Well done to them  ;)

In the end that is what happened, with Everton having the most difficulties as expected.

We have the possibility of an all Prem final when we can get to both legs, and they have it in Madrid  ;D

I won't bother renewing my passport yet, just in case ;)

Contenders ready for knockout draw
« Reply #36 on: August 06, 2009, 10:12:09 AM »
The draw for the UEFA Women's Champions League Rounds of 32 and 16 takes place at 12.00CET on 14 August in Nyon and the full lineup for the knockout phase is now known.

Top-ranked nations
Holders FCR 2001 Duisburg and the champions of the 24 highest-ranked nations enter at this stage. They are joined by the seven qualifying round group winners, all of whom entered as runners-up from the eight top-ranked leagues. In a change to the format of the former UEFA Women's Cup, from now on the competition is a two-legged knockout affair, other than the final played as a one-off game two days before the men's UEFA Champions League final in the same city, with the 2009/10 decider scheduled for Thursday 20 May in Madrid.

Draw conditions
The Round of 32 draw will be made under the following conditions:
• Clubs from the same association must not be drawn against each other.
• The 16 best-ranked teams, according to their coefficient, are drawn against the remaining 16 teams. The rankings are drawn up in accordance with paragraph 7.02 of the Regulations of the UEFA Women's Champions League.
• The 16 best-ranked teams shall play the return-leg match at home.

Round of 16
The winners of the ties on 30 September and 7 October will go into the Round of 16, also drawn on 14 August. Those games will be played on 4 and 11 November, with the draw for the remainder of the competition held at 12.00CET on 20 November. Next round appears easier for Everton, if they get through - they have the winners of  ŽNK SFK 2000 Sarajevo (BIH) v Zvezda-2005 (RUS).
But I don't like to look too far ahead, just in case  ::)
