GOSHEN, USA, February 19, 2007 — FC Indiana, ranked #5 in the world by has announced the signing of Katie Anderton from Blackburn Rovers.

A natural-born goalscorer, Anderton was a regular for Preston North End Girls up to the age of 16, before enjoying four seasons in the Premier League with Tranmere Rovers Ladies. The tall and skilful striker has represented England nine times at under-16 level and scored in a 5-0 win against Scotland at Wembley in 1999.
She attended several England Under-18 camps before joining Blackburn Rovers in 2003. Her 19 league goals helped Rovers to the Northern Division title last season.

"I had a chance to watch her in a match vs. Chelsea where she scored a hat-trick," FC Indiana coach Shek Borkowski told the club website. "At this moment she maybe the most in-form striker in the FA Premier League, and I believe will be a very good fit in our squad."
