I hope you don't go to Welshpool on Sunday - you're not playing there until the next round on 16th November  ???

There are 2 games in the 1st round on Sunday, and the winners of each join the top teams like yours in the second round  8)
The pic is Tytti Porkka of Finland - I actually took it myself, but have lost all my pics and have no more :(

Can you tell us what is happening with the Welsh Cup and leagues?

I believe that some ladies' teams are now affiliated to English leagues and don't play in the Welsh Cup  ???

I know that this has been the case with the men's teams for ages - eg Cardiff City, Colwyn Bay etc play in the English structure and play in the English FA Cup, and are not entitled to play in the Welsh Cup.

But - Cardiff City ladies play in the English Premiership set-up yet play in the Welsh Cup  :-\
Also - they get to play in the early stages of Women's Uefa Cup.

And - what's happened to Welshpool?  ???

I'm not sure if they are allowed to, but teams registered with English leagues can't also play in Welsh competitions generally - eg Cardiff City men can't play in the Welsh Cup any longer (although they, and other English teams used to do so).
However, Cardiff City ladies play in an English league, but play in the Welsh women's cup (as well as the English Women's FA Cup).
They also qualified for the preliminary stages of the Women's Uefa Cup (I'm not sure if this was by winning the women's cup or what  ::) )

I suppose there is nothing to stop any English club playing in Wales (male or female), as The New Saints (men) are actually now based in Oswestry, just inside the English border in Shropshire, having originally been based in Llantsantffraid after combining with the old Oswestry Town team, and then being known as TNS (they were sponsored by Total Network Solutions, based in Oswestry, but the firm was taken over and the club took a new name with the same initials.)

Still confused?  ;D

It's quite easy really ;)

If you ever come and watch a biggish women's game in Wales, the president of the FAW will probably be there and explain it all to you  ;D

A charity match for Sarah Colville of Junction FC will be held at the Hotpoint Club on Sun 9th Nov KO 2pm
A Ladies team will take on a Mens team wearing  pyjamas & nighties :)
Sarah up to date has had 5 operations & will be unable to walk for a number of months, but remains very positive.
Not sure which teams are wearing pyjamas and which nighties ;D
Hope with club permission to take some photos so watch this space :)
Every one on this forum wish Sarah all the best.

It's all in a good cause, so what's a cold or two?  ;)
I believe they will be going straight from bed to the game, wearing their normal night attire  ;D

And best wishes to Sarah :)
