From Fair Game's report on todays Charlton-Chelsea game.

"At the heart of the Addicks defence Donna Kelynack was restricting Lorrie Fair’s chances with some excellent marking and challenges."

The match reports on Charlton's site this season have been littered with similar comment about telling tackles and clearances by Donna.

She's one of Charlton's home grown players and has been at the club throughout her teens. Still only 21, Donna now finds herself to be one of the team's "older" players providing a steadying influence to her younger colleagues. She's a skilful centre back and was one of the first to return to the club as soon as it was clear that Charlton would still be fielding a team in the National Division.

After a bout of illness which has kept her out of regular league acton since summer 2008, Donna has returned to the football fray by signing up with Gillingham's South Eastern Combination side. Did a good job for Charlton in last year's Battle of Alamo in the National Division and is well capable of helping improve the Gills' defence record. If she returns to her former fitness it would be good to see her back in the Premier League.
