Nomadic City on the move again
« on: January 23, 2008, 09:08:53 PM »
CARDIFF City Ladies move to another temporary home this month while their base at Cardiff Athletic Stadium is being rebuilt.

The National Premier League strugglers have been playing their home games at Cwmbran Stadium this season.

But now with Cwmbran Town’s ground unavailable they are on the move to a venue a bit closer to home when they play their next two games at Jenner Park, in Barry.

Cardiff, who are Welsh champions, will host the Doncaster Rovers Belles in the fifth round of the FA Cup in the Vale of Glamorgan on Sunday (1pm), after beating Northern League side Crewe Alexandra 4-0 in the previous round.

Club secretary Karen Jones said: “This season has been a little frustrating not having a settled home ground.

“But the people of Cwmbran were fantastic coming out to support us, and we are hoping that with Barry Town’s significant history football fans from the Vale of Glamorgan will come out to support us as well.”

Entry for the Doncaster game is £3 with concessions £1.

With no fixture last weekend the Cardiff ladies took advantage of visiting their new home at Leckwith to see the developments being made.
