I believe she will be putting the money back into the game at grassroots level.  :) Personally I wouldn't give five bob for it.  :D Although I'm not a collector of such things.

That was me acting daft by the way.  ::) It would be a nice gesture if she was to do that though.

It doesn't matter. It was a bit funny though. I don't know what the background to the sale is.

If I had my own shirt from the World Cup, I'd very much doubt that I'd want to pass it on so soon. She and England might not go again and a few hundred quid is not that much money really.

Although I suppose if you have a wardrobe full of them...

Players are always given two shirts per game, she can sell one. I would have like some other player to sell one as well : Telford Jill Scott for example

I think I've got a little bidding war going, ha it's now 155 squid.  Rachel's been selling a few things on e-bay over the past while and I think the money is going towards her soccer academy...

Has it now become a private auction where you can't see who's bidding ? I can only see Bidder 13 etc ?

You would have to register with them so that you could see the bidding history..

I'm surprised it's stuck at that, I was expecting a last minute bidding war.  I put in a couple of bids just to boost the price a bit but I got worried when the bids stopped, luckly they started up again....

I would not pay that kind of money for a player's shirt.
Even for my favourite France or Arsenal players I would never pay more than 55£

Considering they are not professional, I would not mind her or any other player selling her shirt keeping the money.
