STRIKER Cosette Brathwaite scored seven goals to pilot defending champions, Genesis to a 15-0 drubbing of St John Combined when the Barbados Football Association's Women's League continued on Saturday at Blenheim "A".

Brathwaite was on target in the 10th, 17th, 20th, 30th, 54th, 78th and 80th minutes after Shanice Stevenson opened the scoring in the third minute.

Kerry Trotman (17th), Cathy-Ann Clarke (23rd, 24th) and Shernel Stevenson (35th) also got first-half goals as Genesis led 8-0 at half-time. Tonia Jordan (68th) and Latoya Cumberbatch (75th, 85th) completed the goal-rush in the second half.

In the preceding game, the National Sports Council blanked Haynesville 10-0 with Jalisa Burke (9th, 32nd, 40th) and Christeana Parris (26th, 38th, 48th) each scoring a hat trick. There was also a double strike from Jalisa Smith (65th, 68th) while Sharaine Thompson (24th) and Jalisa Callendar (58th) also got on the scoresheet.

On Sunday at Bridgefield in St Thomas, Carlton Pro-Shottas maintained their unbeaten record with a 11-1 whipping of Notre Dame. Kycia Knight led the goal feast with five goals in the 8th, 14th, 17th, 25th and 89th minutes after Anna Castagne opened the floodgates in the third minute.

Aailyah Alleyne (28th, 39th) got a double strike while Renee Lambert (57th), Maria White (77th) and Alyssa Yarde (80th) were also on target.

Alicia McCombie converted a 70th-minute for the Dames' consolation goal.

In the only competitive match of the weekend, the University of the West Indies, courtesy a double strike from the Californian-born Amber Regan in the first and 23rd minutes, edged the Barbados Women's Football Academy 2-1.

Markelle Spooner pulled back a goal for the Academy in the 85th minute but they were unable to get a late equaliser as the UWI defended stoutly in the final five minutes
