THE “possible” success of Cardiff City in the coming season has overshadowed the wonderful achievement of the Cardiff Ladies Football Club (CLFC).

They gained entrance into the Uefa Women’s Cup and won the Women’s Welsh Cup once again.

CLFC are completely independent of Cardiff City with amateur status, yet, they compete in the League alongside semi-professional teams such as Arsenal, Everton and Leeds, on a weekly basis.

They need sponsors – so where are you, Welsh businesses?

Opportunity is there for advertising in international and national football fixtures.

Incidentally, they have teams of every age group from under-nine, under-11, under-14 (A and B teams), under-16 through to senior level with senior reserve teams, a great set up.

Six senior girls are in the Welsh squad with several in the under-19 and under-17 squads. Add to that a very experienced and qualified coaching team.

This is exactly what is required in our society today – “Support for our Youth” and Cardiff Ladies Football Club is doing exactly that. Well done CLFC.
