Many girls born in 94-95 in that list. I wonder if Mo Marley will call back the older girls born in 93 for the elite round. Hopefully I can make it to the France v England game, Rosmalen isn't too far away.

I wouldn't be surprised if Meaghan Sargeant and/or Melissa Lawley pull out of the squad to travel to Japan instead.

Having checked the  flying dates, they can be back on time to travel to Tokyo with the rest of the squad.

Thats good news, it would be a shame if they lost their chance to represent their country.

Goals from Nikita Parris and Jess Sigsworth enough to beat France.

A goal apiece from Nikita Parris and Jess Sigsworth got England Women's U19s' season off to a solid start against France.

After receiving a bye to the second, and final, round of qualifiers for this season's UEFA Women's European U19 Championship, Mo Marley has taken her side to Holland for two testing internationals, against the French and the host nation.

And Sigsworth ensured their European preparations began with a bang, scoring the opening goal after just nine minutes.

Amid a raft of second-half substitutions, which allowed Marley an opportunity to give game-time to as many players as possible, they had to wait until 14 minutes before the end to secure the victory, with Everton forward Parris doing the damage.

Buoyed by this victory, England will now take on Holland on Thursday.
