England need a win against Finland to qualify for next round.
A draw could be enough should Israel beat Northen Ireland.
A draw with Northern Ireland finishing third would mean 4 points and 2-1 + last game goals for the 4 runner-up places.
A defeat and it would need exceptional circumstances to qualify as one the 4 best runners up.

Young Lionesses hit for four

After securing their place in the Second Qualifying Round of the UEFA European Women's U17 Championship with three wins from three, England have been taken to Denmark by their Head Coach, Lois Fidler, for two matches in three days.

Unfortunately for England, though, Denmark ran out 4-1 winners in the first game. They were 2-0 up inside eight minutes, although Paige Williams did pull a goal back for the Young Lionesses four minutes before the break. But two more Danish goals in the second half put paid to the English comeback.

However, Fidler's young side will get the chance to avenge this result on Sunday afternoon.

Lionesses slip to defeat in Vejen

25th-minute goal seals win for Denmark.

Lois Fidler’s England Women’s U17 team were forced to brave the elements in their second international match inside three days.

They were beaten 4-1 by Denmark on Friday afternoon and the Danes again provided the opposition on Sunday.

Unfortunately for England, amid torrential rain and gale force winds, a 25th-minute goal gave the hosts another victory.

The next challenge for Fidler’s young team is the Elite Qualifying Round of the UEFA European Women’s U17 Championship, which takes place next spring.

Someone who is not on the list either is Kit Graham from Charlton who is a regular in the starting line-up and you would think a national division starter would be considered surely?

Not considered i reckon, as she's far too good technically for England Sylvain.......... But then again we 'dont pick technically gifted players' do we !!!!!!!!!!!!  :o

I have emailed the FA asking why Andrea and Kit were not selected  ;D let's see if I ever get an answer back  :P
I don't think I will because, the FA must get 1000 of email moaning at players not being selected like Emile Heskey  ;D

swfccouk Striker Beth Mead named in the England U17 squad for the UEFA Championship 2nd qualifying round in Belgium

The squad meet up on Monday 9th April, when England take on Iceland on Friday 13th April, Belgium on Sunday 15th April and finally Switzerland on Wednesday 18th April. The group winners will progress to the finals.

“It’s great that Beth has received an England call-up." said Manager Mick Mulhern. "She has forced her way back into the international setup over recent months and that’s down to her hard work at Sunderland.  It’s well deserved.  Hopefully Beth will be playing for England for years to come.”

Everyone at the Club wishes Beth the best of Luck in the qualifiers.

Qualifiers result so far

England Iceland 0-1
England Belgium 1-0

Final game
England Switzerland and Iceland Belgium  18th of April

1. Switzerland 4 pts
2. Iceland 3 pts
3. England 3 pts

England need to win against Switzerland AND Iceland not to beat Belgium to qualify.
If both teams win Iceland go through as they have a better head to head record.

I think they've missed Beth. I'm sure they'd have had more firepower if she'd not been crocked  :(

Norway's U-16s overturned an early deficit to record a 2-1 friendly victory.

Natasha Flint gave England U-17s a 9th-minute lead over Norway U-16s at the University of Warwick on Tuesday morning but the visitors hit back with two second half goals.

Marie Markussen equalised in the 62nd minute and Tonje Danielsen netted the winner just 6 minutes later.

I heard that most of the squad are made up from Aston villa and arsenal apart from 1 from everton,1 from man utd,1 from Teesside and Derbys goalie, apparently none of the Blackburn girls have got in. Not 100% on this but I was told by quite a reliable source
