I watched the end of the game , it was Fort Alamo.
All the good work in preparation of tactical defending did pay off.
Well done to Lois Fidler and the coaching staff.

Should England loose by more than 1 goal in the last game, they could go home if Nigeria wins by a large margin.

Eurosport have cancelled their coverage of the England match in favour of 6 hours of biking (yawn . . ).  The England highlights might be on at 15.45 (provided the biking does not overrun?)  >:(

But on the FIFA web site it shows 20 shots and 11 corners to Nigeria versus England's 2 shots and no corners . . . . oops!

More people would have wanted to watch the cycling than the football 2bh. They did end up showing extended highlights yesterday afternoon.

England beat Nigeria 1-0 goal by Holbrook.
The game stats are crazy:
Nigeria had 62% possession 11 corners to 0 , 20 shots to 2 and England wins it.
England need a point in the last game otherwise it could end up in a 3 way tie at 6 points.

Here are the ranking criteria :

a) most points
b) goal difference
c) goal scored

d) most points scored in head to head games
e) goal difference in head to head games
f) goal scored in head to head games
g) fair play ranking
i) draw by Fifa

Its not about having the ball...its about what you do with it when ya've got it......simple game footie.... ;)

1-1 at half time vs Jaân quite a miracle as japan is a lot better than england but stubborn defending missed chances form japan and a wonder goal from staniforth keep englandin it

I think the England staff could have subbed who seemed to be struggling physically and was beaten for pace by the japanese forward
