Claire Rafferty scored the winning goal against Germany and is now regularly called up for the seniors. Could she be the solution for England left back problem?
If England loose the ball in midfield and a through ball is sent to Amy Rodriguez Elodie Thomis or Marta only Alex Scott can catch those players don't bank on the other 3 players.

Ashley Cole and Glen Johnson are quick but that didn't help the England's men's team!  :(

That German defeat was due to the lack of football brain for most of the players. If you don't get it right tactically...And also stupid individual mistakes.

You're right about that, but I'm not sure England women have a left-back problem at the moment!

From what I've seen of Unitt and Stoney they look solid enough.

Looking in my crystal ball  ;D I can see Rafferty taking over from them over the next two or three years, with Flaherty and Bradley as the centre-backs.

Yes they are solid but any fast winger will cause them problem and put them under tremendous pressure.
Same with the center back pairing, they can try to run after Marta but they won't catch her up. Bring back Anita Asante to do the job.

From Barnet's semi-final program :

Abbie Prosser is on the stand-by list for the La Manga tournament starting the 22nd of February.

Now looking forward to see who will be in that list as players born in 1988 and after are eligible and most of the 1988/89 players are already in the senior squad.

As far as I can see there are a couple of girls born in 1987 in that list and a few senior players as well...

U23 squad is for girls born in 1989 and younger.
Surprised to note the England staff does not rate Gilly Flaherty and she has not been selected for nearly a year now.
