Women's world football rankings
« on: January 10, 2007, 06:46:57 PM »
This site has some interesting (well I think they are  :D ) rankings for women's football.

The English get a few mentions. The national team is described as 'young talent arriving'.  :) Arsenal and Charlton in the club section and of course Kelly Smith in the player section. It would be nice to see the Premier League in the respective section for leagues. It would seem that a strong league would form the basis for consistent achievement at international level.

The link can be found here:-

We may be able to plunder some more links from the list on the side  ;)

Thanks for the link Billyboy ! All of their links pages open masked so some more detective work to be done to find the real link...Honestly, you need to be Sherlock Homes to be into women's football !!  :D

Not quite sure how they arrive at their rankings. No Birgit Prinz in the world's top 20 players ? And even worse, no Jayne Ludlow either ! Sacre Bleu ! As they say in Wales.... :D

I don't think Birgit was in the last FIFA player list either. Not sure why that was. Maybe it was time to give somebody else a chance.
