Argentine beat China 1-0 in women's soccer match

Argentine women's national soccer team defeated on Friday its counterpart from China by 1-0 in the second-leg game, taking revenge of its 1-0 defeat in the first-leg game against China on Tuesday.

Argentina's goal was scored by Rosana Gomez after 30 minutes of play, in a stunning stationary-ball kick.

The game was played at the stadium the Argentine Soccer Association (AFA) has in Ezeiza, in Buenos Aires's outskirts.

Argentina, current South American champion, outplayed China in ther first half and advanced against China with stationary ball plays.

China's team played better in the second half aided by Han Duan, considered by the Federation Internationale Football Association's (FIFA) as the best woman player in the world.

China's team complained against referee Mary Estela Alvarez de Olivera since she allowed violent play.

China's team will leave on Saturday for the United States to play two friendly games prior to the forthcoming women's World Cup to begin on September 10 in Beijing.
